| Welcome to Owens Custom Guitars located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Fort Collins, Colorado. My name is Ronnie Owens and I started building guitars in 2001. I specialize in custom guitars for the discerning musician who wants an instrument that reflects their personal style. I was inspired to build guitars by my father who built his first instrument in 1966 and who, now well into his eighties, is still building guitars and mandolins. I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University and practice a traditional approach to steel string acoustic guitarmaking with an engineer's attention to detail to produce instruments of high quality and exceptional sound. Several of my instruments belong to local Northern Colorado artists including Vicki Pompea and John Mieras. |
